KANSAS CITY, Mo. (PRWEB) August 05, 2022
Garrett Wiseman, Founder and Chief Executive of Mercury Broadband announced today the grand opening of the company's new St. Joseph, Missouri Service Center, supporting expansion of services into the Southwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas areas. The new Service Center is located at 5802 Corporate Drive and will serve as the company's operational hub supporting the company's expansion of broadband services in the area. The company is now providing broadband services to homes and businesses in the rural and surrounding areas of St. Joseph across Buchanan County - including the areas of Atchison, Brown and Doniphan Counties in Kansas. Brett Rhodes has been named the new General Manager for Mercury Broadband in this area and is leading the company's efforts in the new service center region. The company will hold a ribbon-cutting event at 11am CT Friday, August 5th at the facility to celebrate the grand opening.
"We are very excited to enter this new phase of expansion for our company and are looking forward to advancing broadband Internet to rural and under-served communities across the area," said Mr. Wiseman. "Our company is passionate about bringing high-quality broadband services to communities that have been traditionally ignored or under-served. Our broadband platform will help close the digital divide and enable consumers and small businesses to enjoy the benefits of this technology and have the same capabilities that larger cities offer."
As part of Mercury Broadband's growth plan, the company recently launched their new enhanced broadband services for both residential and small business customers in the area. Both services provide customers with a "Smarter Internet" experience and a managed Wi-Fi capability, smartphone applications to monitor and control how they use their Internet connection, and offers the customer a much more robust, overall Internet experience.
The Mercury@Home service provides residential customers with an easy-to-use smartphone application, a customized home network installation, a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 6 router, and additional mesh home network extenders as required to maximize Internet speeds and quality of service within the customers' residence. Customers are able to enjoy new features at their fingertips such as advanced service analytics, performance data, content and parental controls, device bandwidth consumption management, and enhanced security and privacy protection ---all from the convenience of their smartphone and the Mercury@Home application. Future enhancements will include smart appliance management, home security, and video surveillance, etc. The Mercury@Work packages provide customized network and phone solutions to small and medium sized businesses and include options to purchase additional bandwidth.
"We are committed to creating high performing, simple and smarter Internet solutions across our St. Joseph Service Center area and are excited to join the local business community," said Mr. Wiseman. "We intend to be a committed partner for the area and look forward to growing our business in the local community."
Finally, the company also announced plans to hire up to 30 local employees as part of the new St. Joseph Service Center. Further expansion of the broadband network will occur over the next several years within the Missouri region to broaden the services footprint and reach additional communities.

Mercury Broadband is a leading provider of high-speed Internet and digital phone services for homes and business across select rural markets in the Midwest. The company was founded in Topeka, KS, after recognizing a need for broadband services in these underserved markets. A hybrid approach to serving these "last mile" customers was developed by extending high-capacity fiber optic networks with the range, reliability, and flexibility of carrier-class wireless technologies to provide next generation services to customers.
