James Fry, who has been in the aluminium and glass industry for the past 13 years, recently opened his own business to bring quality uPVC products to the people of Port Lincoln and the surrounding areas.
James is a glazier by trade with his main background being in commercial and residential installs, and recently, he worked as a project manager/estimator for an aluminium business in Port Lincoln. He brings that experience to his new business, EyreUpvc.
"I started this business as it has always been the end goal to open my own shop in the window industry at some point but it needed to be something that was going to be quality and long lasting and be a product that will help the industry grow," James said.
"I have a huge passion for the window industry and like to really test myself on larger projects and fulfil clients' end goals on what they are wanting out of their new builds or renovations."
EyreUpvc specialises in double glazed windows and doors using a uPVC framing material developed out of Germany with German-engineered hardware to suit. EyreUpvc windows and doors are made in Adelaide using local window manufacturers such Australian window solutions and glass manufacturers chevron glass.
"We also specialise in security screen doors and retractable screens which can be applied to new or existing windows and doors in your home," James said.

EyreUpvc uses toughened 24mm double glazed glass and stainless steel mesh as a standard to all windows.
"Using uPVC in your home can save up to 60 per cent on cooling and 70 per cent on heating, uPVC windows have received top marks for environmental performance in a key international sustainable building rating system and our uPVC profiles are specifically adapted for Australia's harsh environment and are fully tested and accredited with AS2047," James said.
"Next year we will see a seven star energy rating introduced as we move toward more energy efficient and sustainable homes which is already starting across the nation, with uPVC these measures will be well and truly achieved," James said.
EyreUpvc will work closely with any client and/or builder to assure the client gets the most satisfaction and comfort out of their build. When looking at windows for your new build we recommend a meeting with James and your builder or draftsman to get the most out of your build and budget.
"There are many different types of windows and doors and opening directions, including different hardware choices and locking mechanisms that can be very efficient and cost effective," he said.
"I would like to thank all businesses that have helped me on this new adventure including my suppliers to get EyreUpvc to where it is right now and look forward to all the relationships we will build with local builders and new clients in the future."
